Community involvement is a key belief that Southside Art Center operates within. The people we serve have many abilities that are masked behind their disabilities. Volunteerism provides the means to work side by side with people who volunteer their services. This is a way of contributing back to ones community, and getting a skill that could evetually lead to gainful employment. The volunteer work that is done contributes back to the community and is seen as a valuable resource.

This natural work integration creates the conditions where an individual can choose from a variety of options that can enhance their work skills.
